Why has there been a 50% increasing the price of Microsoft 365 Personal? This is an extraordinary increase and unaffordable for most people .

I am from Australia. I was so annoyed at beginning of year at increase so did a search and found this post. I did what was suggested and went to cancel my subscription and it was then the offer of keeping the original "classic" came up - so I went with that. Now I sort of recall I did think I saw somewhere it may be only for a certain time could do this - but cant be sure

You are wrong, 100 percent. I kept the software without co-pilot. You just don't know how, so you shouldn't comment if you don't know.

No, there is NO option to reverse to basic. The only option available is to switch to monthly payments of $16 per month.

I had to renew my cancelled subscription for a 50% increase for stupid ADD ON that I uninstall as soon as it's installed because there was NO OTHER OPTION!

All the suggestions otherwise either live on a different planet or have no knowledge whatsoever.
