Today, I turned on Onenote, and it notified me that it had Copilot update.

Now, every time I click in Onenote, it shows this annoying Copilot icon next to cursor:

How do I remove it?

Thank you.

Already tried that. Twice. I uninstalled Copilot, restarted my computer, and checked for it again in the Start menu and it was still there. I uninstalled it a second time and it didn't go anywhere, so I started looking around and found out that I could open Privacy Settings and disable the option to "Turn on experiences that analyze your content". This is exactly the kind of thing that drives people to Linux and Mac and I'm not far behind them despite being a Windows user since the early 90s.

Strongly agree. Worse, it wasn’t doing that before, but then I decided I wanted to experiment with copilot in Excel… so I enabled it (just for Excel, or so I thought) and then I see this little icon popping up in OneNote where I keep some sensitive information.

How can I keep using OneNote when a little Copilot icon pops up inside my note?

I can’t accept this and keep typing all my ideas into OneNote while Copilot does who knows what with my data. Immediately looking for alternatives.

Start > Menu (all) > look for Copilot and hover over it > right mouse click > Uninstall > DONE or Settings > Apps >Installed Aps > Copilot > Uninstall > DONE

    John,

Stop jumping into conversations with solutions that have NOTHING to do with OneNote. You've done this on a few different threads, and what you're proposing, DOES NOT WORK in OneNote, as the MS agent also states. Stop spreading mis-information.

I've done this and it does nothing. The icon still appears next to the cursor and copilot still remains active in all office apps.

I also uninstalled it and it's still there. I see why they call it a dingbat. UGH!
