Today, I turned on Onenote, and it notified me that it had Copilot update.

Now, every time I click in Onenote, it shows this annoying Copilot icon next to cursor:

How do I remove it?

Thank you.

Thanks very much! I'm running the same version but don't have that 'Copilot' setting in Options for some reason! Hopefully I'll get it soon.

MS has a technology (also built into Office) they internally call "flighting". Flighting means that certain functionality is available in the deployed code, but is not activated by default. Activation can be done by a mutable signal available somewhere in the MS cloud backend. Client software is aware of such available flighting code and periodically calls back asking "does this already apply to me" and depending on the answer it activates or hides the flighting functionality. MS uses this to gradually deploy features they don't want to appear instantly for everyone with the release of a new build. So, a given build may in fact behave differently for different groups of users and it may suddenly change its behavior without receiving an update. But the Copilot control feature is technically in the build and seems to work as expected, so I assume sooner or later it will show up for everyone.
