Awful "feature." Get this garbage out of my app.

Today, I turned on Onenote, and it notified me that it had Copilot update.
Now, every time I click in Onenote, it shows this annoying Copilot icon next to cursor:
How do I remove it?
Thank you.

Absolutely.
This is remarkably poor software design and its exhausting to see all the apologies from MS and then nothing really changes. You have imposed this AI function on users before it really works well. Like all things Microsoft, there is chaos across products and no simple way to accomplish a universal option of turning it off. If I did not have to use this environment at the request of my client, I would have abandoned you all long ago.
This is completely unacceptable. Nobody asked for this. "Copilot" is worse that Clippy!
Microsoft is trying to force it down our throats just to get more private data and increase their stock price. There haven't been any truly useful improvements to Office in years, just messing up the interface and down this. Please get back to building products people want.
I agree, I have converted an old laptop to Linux as a starting point and made my desktop dual boot so I can use an old high-end film scanner that Windows no longer supports.
BTW, LibreOffice is the more current, developed version of OpenOffice. Several people, including professional writers and journalists I know,
use it on Windows and Macs.
