From Microsoft Works to Access

Mine doesn't look like that it doesn't have shortcut and it doesn't have target.

Great, that could be the shortcut to open Access and the appropriate accdb, or it could be the shortcut to open just Access. Tell us how you use it, please.

You could try this approach.

• Right mouse-click on the Access related icon.
• If you are using Windows 11, select "Show More Options" from the popup menu, then select "Properties".
• You should see something like this.

We are interested in what is in the Target. It should include the path to a file with the accdb extension. Either way, share with us what you find, please.

As Scott suggested, you can search for the Plant accdbs in the hard drive, as well.

I have Windows 11. I have no idea what a snipping tool is.

What version of Windows do you have? Newer versions have an "snipping tool". If you start typing Snip in the Search box, you can open that tool and use it to select an area of the screen to capture as a screen shot.

Do you know how to use Windows Explorer? You should be able to use that and look in your Documents folder to see if you have a file named plants_be.accdb or similar.
