"I am subscribed to 1 TB OneDrive to backup my computer's D and E inner drives sized 979 GB and 883 GB respectively.
After having backup-ed the drives in OneDrive, the data reappear again in the C: OneDrive folder clogging it with 507 GB and not leaving room for additional programs. Why do I have the same data twice in the computer? Please, what solution is suggested?"
The OneDrive folder by default is on the C drive unless you move it to another drive. Your files are synced to the online OneDrive from that folder. If you choose to keep it on the C drive then use the "Free up space" option suggested in the reply above.

Thanks but I am trying to remove my duplicates - except I want to select the folder on my actual computer, *not* my OneDrive and yet it's masking it as OneDrive, there is no way to select my actual folder on my pc, why? I want to back it up on hard drive because I don't trust OneDrive. How can I find the folder on my computer that are actually on my PC hard drive and *not* One Drive?

Now this perpetual syncing kicked all my boosters out and disconnected the internet so I can't open a ticket. What a nightmare. Seriously. My brother is dead these are his previous pictures I am trying to save. Everyone gives me different information: some say OneDrive is on C but in a different folder but when I look in my C it has a syncing icon so you can't figure out what is where because the same files are not under the OneDrive folder. Please help me. He was my only family. The files have been decreasing in size and I have no idea why, there was 1.3TB of data now there is 500GB. Where the hell did this data go? Did it get destroyed and deleted? Paulina
Interesting, now that I reset my modems and boosters and internet came back online alongside the perpetual OneDrive "syncing", it seems it ate another 200GB, as now I have 8.9GB syncing of 327GB. I wonder where the other 200GB went since I last logged out?

I'm not allowed to connect to your computer remotely. You need a hands-on approach from someone you trust. Do you have someone who can rescue those pictures from your computer?
If not, take your computer to a reputable service center and have them make a backup for you. A backup on an external drive will not interact with OneDrive.
