How can I find the folder on my computer that is actually on my PC hard drive and not on One Drive?

"I am subscribed to 1 TB OneDrive to backup my computer's D and E inner drives sized 979 GB and 883 GB respectively.

After having backup-ed the drives in OneDrive, the data reappear again in the C: OneDrive folder clogging it with 507 GB and not leaving room for additional programs. Why do I have the same data twice in the computer? Please, what solution is suggested?"

The OneDrive folder by default is on the C drive unless you move it to another drive. Your files are synced to the online OneDrive from that folder. If you choose to keep it on the C drive then use the "Free up space" option suggested in the reply above.

Thanks but I am trying to remove my duplicates - except I want to select the folder on my actual computer, *not* my OneDrive and yet it's masking it as OneDrive, there is no way to select my actual folder on my pc, why? I want to back it up on hard drive because I don't trust OneDrive. How can I find the folder on my computer that are actually on my PC hard drive and *not* One Drive?

    Yeah I know. For now rather than buying $$$ 4TB SSD all I think I just want to know that nothing has been lost and it's stable and keep the OneDrive on there until I have a large enough SSD. All of the ones I have are either 1TB or 2TB and that one is full. SSD seem more stable in terms of movement. When I was flying to business school I had a MyPassport and I lost my entire thesis on it as it got corrupted as it wasn't SSD. For now I'll give up my digital archiving structuring project until I know that none of my data has been deleted or destroyed and once I have the SSD, back it up, and sort everything the way I want to. Right now, every time I move a file, OneDrive takes forever to realize it and then takes forever to update. I don't want it to delete anything else if that's what it's been doing as the disk size keeps decreasing and I have no idea why.

    Even with membership, you will need an external drive large enough to hold all the data. If you don't have one, you will need to purchase one.

    Thank you Craig and Don. Exactly, hard to know what is where before I disconnect. So far, the OneDrive synced but the size decreased by quite a bit, so I am not sure whether they were the duplicates or the data got destroyed. Please don't delete this link as I'll need the history of everything I did and that happened which is reported here. I'll try Geek Squad first as I have a membership. No worries about privacy as backing up this precious data is more important for me. Thank you again, Paulina.

    I agree with Don.  The link would be fine, but explaining what you want is good enough.  You want an external backup of your valuable photos. Find a reputable service center. You may need to trust them with your private information.

    Some of your photos may be online in One Drive and not on your computer. So you may need to get OneDrive running or download a copy of your online files.
