How do I stop Teams items appearing in Quick Acess when I am SAVING (using Save As) a Word or Excel document?

I understand your concern and I’ve carefully read your description, if my understanding is right, it seems you want to remove the Teams channel in the Quick access menu under Save As tab. For the situation you’ve encountered, I do understand the inconvenience caused and feel very sorry about it.

As far as I know and after my research, the Quick access list for Office apps is a new feature that being rolled out gradually for the users. For your reference: Getting started with Quick access - Microsoft Support.

I’ve also done a test and further research about the situation, I’m afraid and sorry to say there’s currently no build-in settings to remove the Teams channel in this list or completely remove this Quick access menu as many other users have the same feedback as well. Due to this situation, since this is a new feature that rolled out by Microsoft, I sincerely suggest you can try to report the situation and your feedback to the Microsoft Support Team. The support team has higher permission to remotely assist you and advanced resources for the new feature of Office apps. This is a more efficient way in handling this case for you.

The Quick Access Toolbar for that check box is not the same Quick Access that is showing in Open and Save / Save As. That is the ribbon that shows in the Toolbar. As another poster pointed out Microsoft's implementation was horroble. No way to turn off and reusing a name that is not properly descriptive and causes errors.

If it worked for you it's because it addressed another problem than the one I originally posted about. The problem many of us have is that *after* selecting 'save as', the 'quick access' site/address options are utterly clogged by a long string of Teams folders -- see this double-screenshot. I want to get rid of all the crossed-out in red, to have the green-circled 'browse' option up near the top, so I don't have to scroll past a legion of Teams folders to get there - every. single. time.

Totally agree - this is such a nuisance. The quick access Teams files are ones I never use - wasn't aware of most of them until this popped up. I just want to be able to click 'browse' without all the additional hassle of scrolling to find it.
