I opened my onedrive app on my phone but I can now only see photo files, there is no obvious way to switch to see my regular files and folders

This is the worst UI/UX design I have ever seen. No one without explicit guidance could identify them as clickables.

My solution to this was to change status of a few document files to available locally. I had gone through all my OneDrive files on my computer and made them only available from OneDrive. That made them invisible to my phone. After changing just a few files to available locally, I had tabs for Files and Photos. Hope this helps you.
