When in Chats in Teams we used to copy conversations and paste them into other docs. This brought across name/date and chat text.
Now when we do this it only brings across the text; name/date are missing. This causes issues for us as we cannot keep accurate records.
Has this facility been changed/withdrawn in an update? Is there a workaround?

No nothing of any use from MS.... crickets and tumbleweeds
Teams chat has largely superseded Outlook as the primary communication platform for most large companies. Most people in corporate settings must capture metadata for those conversations, showing who participated in the discussion and the specific date and time. It is unbelievable that MS would now prevent customers from capturing the metadata from a Teams Chat. Now I had to start going back to Outlook due to effectively capturing long communications is impossible in Teams. Microsoft, please bring this functionality back!
I didn't read through this whole thread but the workaround that I noticed with the macOS version of Teams is to click the 3 dots next to the first message in the thread and select the option "Share to Outlook". Then an Outlook new email window will pop up. The body of that email will be the Teams thread with names and response times listed. You can then copy-and-paste this email body to wherever you want. Don't know if this will work in the Windows version of Teams but seems like it should.
I'll also add my 2 cents that having to do all this just to copy-and-paste a Teams thread with names and timestamps for archival and documentation needs is ridiculous. We should be able to just copy-and-paste directly in the Teams app like we used to be able to do.

Very grateful for the possibility - far more than MS seems to offer for such a simple and useful feature.
The name, time, and date in conversation history are critical to Enterprise workflow and documentation. Not having this information negatively impacts productivity and accuracy when documenting conversations. We have over 1,000 tech employees leveraging Teams, and every one of those employees needs those time stamps to record work history accurately. People have already begun reverting back to email communications just so these discussions can be accurately captured. It is unacceptable to remove this functionality completely and not provide an alternate way of capturing metadata in teams chat. There used to be a workaround and now that has also been removed. Please fix this or advise on the process to escalate this at Microsoft.
