Teams Chat - copy/paste

When in Chats in Teams we used to copy conversations and paste them into other docs. This brought across name/date and chat text.

Now when we do this it only brings across the text; name/date are missing. This causes issues for us as we cannot keep accurate records.

Has this facility been changed/withdrawn in an update? Is there a workaround?

I tried the work-around with an added step.

selecting the message with Time Stamp and name of the person you want, and while still holding the mouse button down, press CTRL + C and CTRL + V

    THEN

use your mouse to click the part of document you want to copy the selection to and lastly press CTRL+V.

This will add 3 lines before each section of text.

    1. <first part of text>...by <name>
    2. <name>

    3.<time>

Please bring back the old copy paste option as it is required to capture times and when we respond to users and record our SLA times. This is a most important feature which is required.

I don't understand why someone would not want such a feature. I believe every other chat application has this feature why remove this from teams.

This is totally unacceptable. I cannot believe that there is not much demand for the old setting. I have spoken to many users and IT Tech and majority are at a loss why this facility has been taken away and want it back.

MS must reconsider this change and bring back the cut/paste the old way. Maybe they can make the name/date optional; let the people choose.

The message is loud and clear - WE WANT IT BACK.
