Unable to embed YouTube Videos in Sway

Regarding the issue you are having with not being able to embed YouTube videos into Sway;

What you are experiencing may be a design-enabling issue. There is a note to that effect in the official article:Add video and audio files into Sway - Microsoft Support

But I saw a reply from Yujun.F - MSFT in a Russian thread about embedding videos in Sway,please check it out with the help of a translator and try it out:Скажите пожалуйста как теперь вставлять аудио в презентацию Microsoft - Сообщество Microsoft

I'm trying to embed the video from YouTube, but it's not working. It was working a couple of weeks ago, but now it seems I can no longer embed videos from YouTube into Sway which is a huge disappointment. Is it something that can be fixed or is this the new norm now?

Even when I click insert, storyline and then YouTube, it is saying 'This service isn't talking to us at the moment :( Try again shortly - they'll come around.

I understand the inconvenience this issue has caused you.Based on your description, this issue may indeed be a short time problem, but the community support forum has no way to contact Sway's team to confirm the situation, so perhaps the issue will be resolved soon.

Please try switching networks, such as connecting to a cell phone hotspot, and then try again to see if you can embed the video;

In the meantime, I suggest you post this in the Sway section of the Feedback Center and send me a link to your feedback, and I'll call on people around you to vote for your feedback, which will raise the priority of this feedback and bring it to the attention of the Sway team sooner rather than later.

I had the same issue and stumbled across the answer on Reddit. Try removing the width & height sections from the embed code and YouTube videos should embed correctly.

I have tried that, but it's still not working. What's surprising is that it was working in a few hours ago and now it's not again. I'm trying to embed music videos, could it be an issue with these videos?
