Sway has suddenly stopped automatically showing embedded content

I have used Sway for a few years to produce a staff newsletter. Recently Sway now displays an empty window with stripes across it with a green button with view on it that has to be pressed to see embedded content.

Does anybody know how to go back to the original view mode where you see a still of the content with a play button?

    Dear SEllershaw,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing because Sway suddenly stopped automatically showing embedded content automatically. I understand that it’s frustrating and I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Unfortunately, I have conducted multiple tests with my tenants and can reproduce the issue. It appears to be related to the current sway design output, as demonstrated below:

ImageWe understand that this change can be frustrating, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We value your understanding, and I also agree with you that this would be a great if this was returned to the features in Sway.

Microsoft values user feedback. We encourage you to share your thoughts and suggestions through our feedback community under Sway · Community. The product development team monitors this site around the clock and your feedback will be considered. This is the best way to let the team know your needs and help improve our products and services. We hope to see this feature in the future version of Sway.

Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,
