how to fix error 29 in office 365

Cannot reactivate office 365 and get error code 29 when updating license. I've uninstalled and reinstalled all the programs, and followed all the online steps suggested by Microsoft. I've tried the Office 365 self-repair tool, and re-logged into my Microsoft account. Nothing works.

For a simpler fix, you can try these:

Close all Office apps first.

Go to File Explorer > View > Show > Hidden items.
Navigate to C:\Users\*your username*\AppData\Local\Microsoft
Delete IdentityCache folder
On the same page, look for OneAuth folder and open it.
Delete the contents of OneAuth folder such as "accounts" and "blobs"
Launch any Office apps and sign in your account. You might need to relaunch the app multiple times until the error is gone.

Thanks so much. I couldn't fix it either for weeks. The problems started when I had to change my password, maybe there's an underlying issue with that? I don't really know...

Thank you PeanutKimKim, it worked the first time around!

I have another issue, perhaps you can help. The CoPilot icon and prompt appeared within my aps before - I have a Windows Surface laptop 7 with CoPilot. Any idea of how I can get it back?
