I am having problems with shared folders in OneDrive. They are showing up as internet shortcuts only, I used to have them in File Explorer as a folder that I would click on to access content of that shared folder. My IT person found a website stating that Microsoft is aware of this issue. When will this be fixed?

I'm having the same issue (I'm a Mac user). A folder my wife shared with me (she's a Windows user) with all our important information is gone, now I have a weblink there.
I see this has been around for more than half a year. Maybe it's the push I needed to get myself a NAS and forget about Microsoft 365.
so when will it be resolved? its so annoying and I just started using OneDrive. Do I need to work a year with this issue that apparently, is happening to numerous of users since June 2024?????

Not possible to work with one drive effective anymore.
We are having the same problem, which has caused absolute mayhem - There was no warning of this potential change, and quite frankly, this is very disappointing.
The absence of responses on your own answers page is very telling. It makes me think there is a plan to put the function of creating local copies of shared folders behind a paywall or something. Nonetheless, it has been very problematic for a small business that employs several older adults who are not very tech savvy.
Can you please provide an answer to these hundreds of messages?
