OneDrive: Shared folders are only available via internet shortcut

I am having problems with shared folders in OneDrive. They are showing up as internet shortcuts only, I used to have them in File Explorer as a folder that I would click on to access content of that shared folder. My IT person found a website stating that Microsoft is aware of this issue. When will this be fixed?

    And it just gets better...

So, this morning I now turn on my PC to be greeted with OneDrive suddenly processing ~675,000 changes. Yes - that's ~675 thousand changes. At the current rate over a 1Mbps broadband circuit it looks like this is going to take somewhere in excess of 60 hours to complete. I'll say it again: SIXTY HOURS of continuous processing on my PC and broadband.

Curiously the URL link to the shared folders now appears to have disappeared altogether. But as yet, there is no new link showing as it used to.

Whether or not this is the resolution I have no idea, but I guess we'll find out in a few days after completing this utterly pointless exercise to re-synch all of my content that just 9 hours before was perfectly in synch. My guess is that my data has been migrated to whatever new platform is designated for OneDrive, and so the whole lot has to be re-confirmed.

In fairness, the load on my PC is not so bad that I can't do anything on it. But I'm loathe to start messing with any OneDrive content as I have no idea what is happening and whether making changes will make the situation worse.

If I was working for Microsoft, I might start thinking about preparing an insanity plea...

MS 1 year did not bother for its customers, seems they dont plan to fix it either.

    Goggle Drive won.

Never looked back - it's even better app.

I've just seen the Microsoft 50th anniversary timeline presentation. They missed a really important important milestone:

"2024 - developed innovative, imaginative, and downright idiotic ways of completely screwing our customers and the work they do".

The worst reply i ever received from a company like (MS).

    Quote;

Our engineering team is working diligently to resolve this issue. I assure you that we are giving it our utmost priority. Currently we do not have an ETA on this issue

    Unquote.

They say they don’t have ETA when the issue will be solved. Who believe that ???

do you want to convince me that MS can’t find a solution ???

This issue seems to be intended by MS to the users. While we are paying you yearly for a service and you can’t provide a proper service.

Anyway, after almost many years with MS, i hade to move to a different provider who offer better service and cancelled my subscription with MS.
