OneDrive: In windows 11, file explorer no longer allows you access to shared folders within "my files" or QuickAccess except as a link to the online version of the folder

These issues are specifically for accessing files/folders within File Explorer.

Noted today that for shared folders that were previously added (and readded today) to My Files do not allow access to the contents of the folder but instead they appear as a link to the webpage portal for access to the folder.

Initial access to the web portal version did not seem to work until after logging out and back in again (I think this is referenced in a published workaround).

Further, the same shared folder cannot be accessed via the link in Quick Access. It provides a "location is not found" error instead.

Not sure if there's a fix to this pending?

WTH !!! I'm still running Windows 10 and can no longer access the vast number of files I've stored on One Drive via Internet Explorer.. The folks at M'soft have really screwed it up. Good work, folks!

I think Microsoft has removed the feature of accessing the files on onedrive via windows explorer. They said it will work on onedrive business version, so it's clearly business tricks for making more money.

I was using the Onedrive until now but yesterday I started using IONOS Cloud (Next Cloud). Its work far more better then onedrive and you can access the files using Windows Explorer. So no more Onedrive.

Our family uses shared Onedrive folders heavily for home admin, projects and photos. Not being able to work with shared folders in Windows Explorer is a significant problem for us. 5 months in, a bland assurance that "Our Engineering team are aware of this and are currently working on a resolution" gives us no confidence at all. Please provide a timeline for a fix.

This is crazy - how the heck is this NOT solved yet. This is clearly on purpose and you took away functionality that was the main feature of OneDrive. I'm looking for alternatives as a result.
