OneDrive: In windows 11, file explorer no longer allows you access to shared folders within "my files" or QuickAccess except as a link to the online version of the folder

These issues are specifically for accessing files/folders within File Explorer.

Noted today that for shared folders that were previously added (and readded today) to My Files do not allow access to the contents of the folder but instead they appear as a link to the webpage portal for access to the folder.

Initial access to the web portal version did not seem to work until after logging out and back in again (I think this is referenced in a published workaround).

Further, the same shared folder cannot be accessed via the link in Quick Access. It provides a "location is not found" error instead.

Not sure if there's a fix to this pending?

Yeah, I practically LIVE in File Explorer. Not having access to Onedrive is practically a deal-breaker. Can't even save files directly to Onedrive in this predicament.

    :-/

Wish I could tell you what I did, but it’s working again. I removed it, did a reset, etc and it’s good again. Like you, I use Google Gmail and need to attach files all the time. I don’t know if I removed 11 and went back to 10 or what. I’m wondering if the whole Microsoft outage played a role too?!?

I've just been back to see my customer who has had the problem since it started and it's all working now.

Nothing was changed, it just came back to life, so all is good with them.

I hope it's the case for others.

I am still out and cannot share One Drive folders and access through File Manager/ Quick Access. This is beyond the pale. Why is this happening and not fixed. It's been several weeks.

Microsoft, PLEASE restore the "Add shortcut to My files" option in order to solve this issue. This is a total inconvenience, and it has been going on for too long.
