OneDrive: In windows 11, file explorer no longer allows you access to shared folders within "my files" or QuickAccess except as a link to the online version of the folder

These issues are specifically for accessing files/folders within File Explorer.

Noted today that for shared folders that were previously added (and readded today) to My Files do not allow access to the contents of the folder but instead they appear as a link to the webpage portal for access to the folder.

Initial access to the web portal version did not seem to work until after logging out and back in again (I think this is referenced in a published workaround).

Further, the same shared folder cannot be accessed via the link in Quick Access. It provides a "location is not found" error instead.

Not sure if there's a fix to this pending?

    OneDrive has failed me.

    • Can't see remote files on my local Windows 10 File Explorer
    • Can't search for files/folders on the web-based OneDrive nor on iPhone App

What's a good cloud storage alternative that integrates easily with Windows 10 File Explorer?

    Thanks, AB

Finally! This is fixed for me. It only took them what, 5 months? Not good enough for me to move my shared password database back here. Had to move it to Dropbox back in July. Trust has been broken!

How did you fix it please?? Did the Internet shortcut automatically revert back to a normal file folder or did you have to delete and re-add them? Also, are you on Windows 11?
