thanks very much for this info!!
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
These issues are specifically for accessing files/folders within File Explorer.
Noted today that for shared folders that were previously added (and readded today) to My Files do not allow access to the contents of the folder but instead they appear as a link to the webpage portal for access to the folder.
Initial access to the web portal version did not seem to work until after logging out and back in again (I think this is referenced in a published workaround).
Further, the same shared folder cannot be accessed via the link in Quick Access. It provides a "location is not found" error instead.
Not sure if there's a fix to this pending?

Is it still an issue for you? Were you successful in creating a new account to get around this issue?
Do we know if this is only impacting Windows 11 users? If I go back to Windows 10, will that resolve this?
It's a Microsoft account issue I am afraid. Doesn't matter what OS you are running.

That's an interesting idea! What all is involved in creating a new Microsoft account? Like if the file sharer just shares the folder with me to an old hotmail.com account, would I be able to add that folder to My Files and access that folder via File Explorer?
