OneDrive: In windows 11, file explorer no longer allows you access to shared folders within "my files" or QuickAccess except as a link to the online version of the folder

These issues are specifically for accessing files/folders within File Explorer.

Noted today that for shared folders that were previously added (and readded today) to My Files do not allow access to the contents of the folder but instead they appear as a link to the webpage portal for access to the folder.

Initial access to the web portal version did not seem to work until after logging out and back in again (I think this is referenced in a published workaround).

Further, the same shared folder cannot be accessed via the link in Quick Access. It provides a "location is not found" error instead.

Not sure if there's a fix to this pending?

    Hey all,

just had my problem fixed. It´s not the best way, but I created a new account on onedrive and gave the same access.

Here, at my company area, my account was the only one impacted.
Since this is not a universal problem, I had to change something in my account or create a new one without the issue.

Creating a new one, was easier in my case.

After creating a new account, i just dropped the other account from onedrive on my laptop and connected to the new one.
Restarting computer after that was the last step to regaing access to my folders through Windows File Explorer

Adding my concerns as well as others. I've been trying everything to fix this issue, thinking it was a WIFI/VPN blocking issue because I was travelling. This is incredibly inconvenient daily. Any updates?

    This is not helpful.

Files cannot be worked on through third party software like bluebeam without downloading them.

In that case it is no longer a shared file that updates to other users of that file.

What is the status of correcting the issue with getting shortcuts into onedrive personal?

On June 22, I commented about this issue on another question, and a Microsoft agent replied that "Many customers worldwide have reported that their OneDrive shared folders have become inaccessible as regular file folders in File Explorer and instead appear as internet shortcuts." It has been more than three weeks without any clear solution or update on this issue...

Over the past two weeks, we've been facing a similar persistent issue, where files do not appear in File Explorer when accessed online for shared files. Despite our efforts to resolve the problem through various methods, the issue remains unresolved.

We tried unlinking and re-linking the PCs, reinstalling OneDrive, and even the OS running on our PCs while keeping personal files, resetting the PC and deleting all files. Unfortunately, none of these steps have restored the files to File Explorer. This situation affects our collaboration using the shared folder contents and we are loosing money everyday. Please solve this issue as soon as possible.
