These issues are specifically for accessing files/folders within File Explorer.
Noted today that for shared folders that were previously added (and readded today) to My Files do not allow access to the contents of the folder but instead they appear as a link to the webpage portal for access to the folder.
Initial access to the web portal version did not seem to work until after logging out and back in again (I think this is referenced in a published workaround).
Further, the same shared folder cannot be accessed via the link in Quick Access. It provides a "location is not found" error instead.
Not sure if there's a fix to this pending?

You're very lucky that it just started to happen you. It's been going on for a year and a half with me. They've been telling me for that long the engineering team is working to fix it. Can you believe Microsoft can't fix there own stuff. However, they keep advertising 365 as a wonderful product.

A few days ago, our shared OneDrive folders we use for our business disappeared from each other's file explorer. They are showing up in web version, but that doesn't allow us to open, edit, and save like we have always done.
This is a critical problem!!! Microsoft, please fix it right away!!!! Or we have no choice but switch to a different service.

Today is 2/18/25 and this issue has just appeared suddenly on my windows 10 machine. I've spent the past 1.5 hours trying to figure out what in the world happened. Seriously? My family uses shared onedrive folders to manage bills, receipts, photos, music...all of our home files, all AVAILABLE via file explorer....until today.

Microsoft keeps breaking things that work. I am done. Moving all of my family stuff - financial, photos, music.... to Google Drive.
I have three children sharing my 365 Family subscription. One never experienced this shared links problem. The other two didn't initially, but then suddenly did back in December. One by one, their accounts resolved in January, and now all three are working correctly (i.e. opening in File Explorer not Edge). I don't know if any of the actions I took affected this, but one of them resolved shortly after I removed the account from my 365 Family subscription for 2-3 days, before then reinstating it. That might be worth trying.
