OneDrive: In windows 11, file explorer no longer allows you access to shared folders within "my files" or QuickAccess except as a link to the online version of the folder

These issues are specifically for accessing files/folders within File Explorer.

Noted today that for shared folders that were previously added (and readded today) to My Files do not allow access to the contents of the folder but instead they appear as a link to the webpage portal for access to the folder.

Initial access to the web portal version did not seem to work until after logging out and back in again (I think this is referenced in a published workaround).

Further, the same shared folder cannot be accessed via the link in Quick Access. It provides a "location is not found" error instead.

Not sure if there's a fix to this pending?

MS OneDrive finally starting allowing me to share a folder and have it show up in the shared person's File Explorer. I had to go through the share steps again, but once I did that, I worked. Google "how to get a shared OneDrive folder in file explorer" and follow the steps. It took forever for MS to fix this issue. I had read that other people were getting it to work over the past few months, but mine was still not working. On a whim, I tried again today and it worked. Now I wont have to use Google Drive as an indirect to share my folders. Hope your shared folders starts working soon.

We have been experiencing the same problem for the past couple weeks as well but only on 1 user account. We tried the following, but nothing has restored the files to File Explorer (internet access only for shared files):

    1. Unlinking and re-linking the PC
    2. Uninstalling and reinstalling OneDrive
    3. Resetting the PC and keeping personal files
    4. Resetting the PC and deleting all files
    5. Setting up a brand new PC under the user account

Hoping the problem is resolved soon.

I have a customer with the same problem. It's occurring on two machines but the others (five in total) are okay - at the moment.

Is there any update as to what is happening?
