Why I have 2 Onedrives in File Explorer?

i just noticed that i have 2 onedrives on my device. Both are exactly the same and contain the same files. They don't cause any errors but I wonder if there is any way to delete one of them.

There is also another onedrive folder in C:\Users\Hao\OneDrive which is similar to the two above. Sorry if I didn't explain clearly, I'm not a native speaker

    I have the same problem and this is garbage that I should not have to be spending my time on. I just want to use my computer. I do not want to have to solve these problems on a daily basis. There is not one day that goes by without something of Microsoft's not working correctly.

    I had the same problem.

    FIRST, I followed the registry modification instructions, and after some times the duplicate onedrive came back again.

    So,

    I uninstalled onedrive from "remove programs" , I restarted my computer and I re-installed onedrive.

    The duplicate onedrive folder is now gone.

    I didn't thought about trying unstalling/reinstalling before.

    But, tested yesterday, and now I don't have anymore the 2 instances of One Drive Personnal.

    I'm thinking that the one that should be deleted is the one that was inserted into the registry earliest in time since the problem occurred for me after I uninstalled and then reinstalled OneDrive. I assume the second installation installed a second entry in the registry. So, I need to delete the earliest entry in time. Then the question, how do tell which entry occurred earliest in time. Can I tell by the sorting of the CLSIDs?

    I am no expert in this and do not mess with the registry

    I have two One Drive accounts because I started with the “free” OneDrive and when I subscribed to MS365 OneDrive was part of the package.

    Very poof handling on the part of Microsoft. I expect suppliers to do some checks and balancing before installing new purchased software.

    I also have two OneDrive Personal entries in File Explorer. In the Registry under CLISD, there is only one OneDrive entry. I am on Canary build. I did a fresh install with this release. I have a 7th generation Intel CPU, and got a green screen after the fresh install, so after experimenting, ended up doing a fresh install of Windows 10, then upgraded that to Windows 11. I am 90% sure the problem showed up with my first configuration of OmeDrive. I have a different location for the folder from the default.
