OneDrive shortcut appears as an internet shortcut instead of a folder

A OneDrive folder has been shared with me, but in windows File Explorer, it appears as a link rather than a folder when I add it as a shortcut to OneDrive "My Files". How can I fix this so the shortcut appears as a folder instead of a link?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Since a few days, the issue is solved by me. People accessing to me shared folder can access directly with the explorer and all internet shorcuts were replaced with the real files. It works as it should.

    10 months to solve it ... :-( I don't thank Microsoft.

    Same for me.

    I access multiple shared onedrives.

    One was broken for 2 months.

    Then suddenly access to 2 others broke - indicating more back end changes.

    Then this weekend, all started working!! Finally!

    But why no comms!?

    Why take so many months to sort this out?

    **** service Microsoft!

    Hang tight folks - I came close to moving to Drop Box

    But I still needed my MS family account for Office licenses for the kids.

    Several have reported that Microsoft has resolved this issue. I have not seen that. In fact, today, a frequently-used shared folder has disappeared from my Windows Explorer. I can find it in the online OneDrive but the only thing I can do is make a hyperlink.

    Microsoft: please fix this.

    An update here for me, all accounts in my Office subscription are now upgraded, and I no longer have the grief. THAT ONLY TOOK TEN MONTHS. 🤣🙄
