OneDrive shortcut appears as an internet shortcut instead of a folder

A OneDrive folder has been shared with me, but in windows File Explorer, it appears as a link rather than a folder when I add it as a shortcut to OneDrive "My Files". How can I fix this so the shortcut appears as a folder instead of a link?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

IS THERE A FIX YET? THIS IS GOING ALMOST A YEAR!

The internet link does not function the same and is impacting business productivity.

For example, can't copy/paste or open files in Windows directly using the link,

I have two different external systems I WAS accessing as a folder, not a link and can not do this.
