A OneDrive folder has been shared with me, but in windows File Explorer, it appears as a link rather than a folder when I add it as a shortcut to OneDrive "My Files". How can I fix this so the shortcut appears as a folder instead of a link?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Eric Mungai,
Thanks for raising your concerns in Microsoft Community.
We are aware of the issue and are working on resolving it. The url files will automatically convert back to folders when the issue is resolved. For now, we recommend accessing shared folders that are in this state on OneDrive.com.

Do you have any date to fix this problem? It appeared to me last month.
same experience. having an internet shortcut to a shared file is very difficult and very inconvenience to the user. hopefully Microsoft will resolve these issues ASAP
It doesn't seem normal to me that Microsoft hasn't been able to solve such a problem after so much time. This situation seems like a covert termination of a feature. Apparently, those of us who use this feature are not given much importance.
