Hello, What software will people be using and why when Publisher is phased out in October 2026? Thank you.
I know there's InDesign and Canva. Also, will Publisher files be able to be converted ?

I have tried them all. Canva is the only one that will work.
I wish MS would respond to us and give us a stand-alone version, but they do not seem to care.
I've used WordPerfect for years for transcription. The companies I work with don't like Word, and neither do I. Just playing around with it briefly I was able to insert a photo and a news article by clicking insert, graphics/pictures, from file, and browsing folders to choose files. The objects were easy to move around. Dragging and pasting did not work.

I just tried wordperfect it has a pdf conversion & worked pretty well. Still have to adjust the formatting; however wordperfect has a great feature where you can see the formatting codes, so you work in that area & take out the formatting you don't want.

Exactly! And after we have supported Microsoft all these years, why can’t they give the program to an entity that we can pay subscription fees to? Affinity Publisher looks good, but I don’t believe will open our MS publisher files.
