Hello, What software will people be using and why when Publisher is phased out in October 2026? Thank you.

I know there's InDesign and Canva. Also, will Publisher files be able to be converted ?

Sounds like a good summer project. I think you need to do them one at a time. Fortunately, you don't have to go between programs to do it.

So happy I found this discussion. I have hundreds of publisher files as I am a teacher and use publisher to create everything I use in my classroom. Is their a quick and easy what to save these files as a pdf or is it just going in and saving each one individually?

Agreed but unfortunately anything we do is likely to be a fuss unless Microsoft changes their mind.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I'd considered having a non-connected old laptop, but it will be a fuss importing everything via external drives. Oh well.

Rowan, I have a similar problem. It is a shame that Microsoft doesn't realize what a truly unique program Publisher is.  What I am doing is buying a computer/ laptop and loading an old version of Publisher. I purchased Publisher 2021 from Mr. KEY a very reputable dealer in England. As long as you don't put any other Microsoft program on it, it should work very well for you.
