How to disable copilot on microsoft office (excel, word, ppt) on Macbook

I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.

I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.

Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?

Thank you!

Same for me, however, I'm on a Microsoft PC. I've just wasted over an hour trying to disable Copilot so the distracting icon will be gone. There absolutely needs to be an easier way to remove it.

I don't see anything about Copilot at all when I sign into my account and go to Services and Subscriptions. Can you please provide another screenshot (PC specific, if it's different to Mac) to show exactly where this should be?

Is there any other way to remove it? Why has it been made so difficult to disable?

They've totally embedded it in the apps & there is no off setting for it.
    Seriously vile move by Microsoft.
If you go into your account and find your subscription you'll find that without your permission you've been upgraded to a more expensive subscription that includes Copilot.
Switch it back to a regular sub & it will go away when your subscription renews.
I'd like to know how to wind back to a non-Copilot version now, rather than waiting.

Awaiting an answer to this also. My plan has renewed unfortunately. Absolute bollix from Microsoft. I've just uninstalled Outlook on my Android because of co-pilot and how frustrating it is.

I also do not have and "Account" listed under "file". I'm using Word on my MacBook Pro.

To reiterate what others have said, copilot actually interferes with my professional work.

Really? The user has to uninstall the office suite because microsoft installed Copilot without asking?

This is corporate ****! There needs to be an "Uninstall Copilot" button or option.

    Just disgraceful!

I want an easy, no **** method to automatically uninstall these undesired and unasked for MS installed applications.
