How to disable copilot on microsoft office (excel, word, ppt) on Macbook

I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.

I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.

Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?

Thank you!

Thanks Beth, I am trying this to see how it goes, looks like I need to wait until tomorrow for it to update but here's hoping - major FU by Microsoft on this co-pilot, it's just not wanted and to have it forced upon us is quite sinister.

    Regards, Steven

    Agree.

If your subscription is due to renew tomorrow, the change won't happen till the next day, or at least mine didn't. My sub renewed on 28th and I thought at first it hadn't worked, but it was either midnight that night or the next day that things were back to 'normal', so don't be disheartened if it's not right away.

    1. The tab is just "Subscriptions" not "Services and Subscriptions"
    2. There is no "Disable" option, only the option to pay money for Copilot Pro

ie. Thanks for nothing. Typical MS bulls***.

Well, copilot is now off my system. I refused to set up an automatic payment and ignored the many prompts requesting me to do so. However, after my trial expired, I had to reboot to get the copilot prompts off my system. It was worth it!

Can someone please post a link to download a pre-Copilot version of Office?

I've changed my subscription status so it won't be on my next 'plan' but I want it gone now!

Microsoft could well find themselves in deep, deep trouble over what they have done with Copilot.
Without telling users they added it to updates AND changed their plans.

Without asking they took my 'plan' from around AU$120/yr to AU$179/yr.
