How to disable copilot on microsoft office (excel, word, ppt) on Macbook

I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.

I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.

Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?

    Copilot appeared unsolicited in my MSWord, but there is NOTHING in my 'add-ins' to remove, it's empty.

    So, I'm still stuck with Co-pilot.

    I am extremely wary of reverting to an old/previous version of the software--that'll be my last resort as it does not address the issue of future updates, which we should not be missing out on.

    This is next-level BS. With these questions, we are being tossed around like fools by Artificial intelligence so that they can use their real HUMAN resources to make more money. It's beyond infuriating.

    I should not have to revert to an old version of the software and disable updates while they increase the annual $$$ of my subscription!

    Hi I have already tried going to my "Services & Subscription" page an it tell me that I can install Copilot!

    There's no mention of diabling it.

    I'm confused by this. If it's telling me I can install it, why is it already there on every device including my MacBook Pro running MacOS??? I really wat rid of this. I have noticed that I can change my subscription. Will this do it???

    Okay, it’s taken me three hours with MS support, yes three hours to get rid of Copilot.

     I actually had to cancel my subscription to Office 365, remove all traces of it from my Library, Containers folder and Hidden Containers folder.

    Then, I had to install an old version of Office for Mac, 2019 that was still on my subscription list and disable the updates…

    Result, I opened Word and Excel and there is no Copilot in the ribbon, nor when I hit return. But, I’m having to use a copy of Office that is years old and probably missing out on other features, but I’ll take it.

    The consultant wouldn’t acknowledge that this was a very bad idea, but she did acknowledge the validity of my concerns, especially with regard to students being accused of plagiarism and the obvious disconnect that auto AI would have for creative professionals.

    It shouldn’t be that hard.

    HI KPOF. I'm using Microsoft® Word for Mac 365 Version 16.92 (24110530) running on a Macbook Pro running Ventura 13.7.1. Opening Word>Preferences as no option for Add-ins. The only Add-ins are "Slow and Disabled Add-ins", which do not mention added Add-ins by MS, especially Copilot. You can only access Add-ins by Insert>Add-ins>Get Add-ins or Insert>Add-ins>My Add-ins. In My Add-ins, there are no Add-ins from MS. The other option takes you to the Add-ins Store to add more Add-ins.

    The only other menu that leads to Add-ins is the Developer Tab. However, you get the same menus as through Insert>Add-ins. Any other suggestions?
