How to disable copilot on microsoft office (excel, word, ppt) on Macbook

@Hannah.Z you have just sidestepped everyone's concerns.

Let me lay them out for you;

• CoPilot was added & embedded without any notification to users.
• CoPilot cannot be turned off, deactivated or removed without changing your subscription.
• Microsoft 'upgraded' user subscriptions without, until recently, providing any notice, increasing plans by around 30%.
• Mircosoft is charging users more and then using the work of users to train your AI. This is wrong on so many levels.

At a personal level I certainly do not want Microsoft's AI constantly looking over my shoulder as I work, especially as some of my business related work is 'commercial in confidence'.

This step by Microsoft is a very foolhardy one and really has opened you up to a Class Action.

I would have thought that MS would have learnt from the 1/2 billion dollars in anti-trust fines you received over Internet Explorer being embedded but... apparently not.

This co-pilot stuff is insane, I changed my subscription in December and it was ignored in the January renewal.

I have just changed it again, but have taken copies of it all - I now have to wait another month to get it off my screen.

I am sick of the sight of the co-pilot badge and how it infringes on my screen space - the notion that Microsoft just sold it to everyone with a subscription without any acceptance of the offer sounds like a great class action in America.

I understand that you want to disable copilot in Microsoft Office applications after trying it and feeling that it affects word loading speed. Copilot is a new feature which is designed to provide users with smarter and more personalized assistive functions through Artificial Intelligence technology that provides users with smarter, more personalized assistance functions that increase productivity and creativity. However, if you don't need this feature after trying it out and still want to disable copilot you can do so by following the instructions below:

• log in to Microsoft account | Services & subscriptions
• click on your Services & Subscriptions on the left navigation bar (below)
• find copilot on the right side of the page and disable it.

Sane here. I cannot find the way to disable Copilot you described

OI object to any AI use of any of my data by Microsoft.

Please provide a working solution on how to *completely* disable Copilot for all my MS products

I don't think Microsoft is listening or cares. If it did, I'm sure a simple "do not show/display" option could be installed to save this tirade of abuse it is getting from users who do not want the annoyance of Copilot. Having a simple on/off option then keeps everyone happy. However, Microsoft does not appear to want to go down this route.

Really? The user has to uninstall the office suite because microsoft installed Copilot without asking?

This is corporate ****! There needs to be an "Uninstall Copilot" button or option.

Just disgraceful!
