How to disable copilot on microsoft office (excel, word, ppt) on Macbook

I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.

I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.

Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?

    I don't know whose idea this was, but "Copilot" is a horrible cancer. It first appeared today and I cannot get rid of it. There is no method under "subscriptions." This is truly infuriating. I'm a professional writer and I don't need this. It's worse than getting a U2 album planted in my Apple music. Please advise me - and thousands more users, I'm sure - how to get rid of this unwanted visitor into my computer.

    I do not have a "services and subscriptions" on my left nav bar. I only have a "subscriptions" and there is NO WAY TO DISABLE COPILOT, which is frustrating as hell. I do NOT want it and I view it as an invasion of my privacy -- scraping my word docs so AI can learn??? Please tell me how to disable this NOW.

    I can't rid my Mac Word of this using the described method either. My subscription page acts like I don't even have it yet there it is in the middle of my page and on my tool bar. And my subscription price went up dramatically without warning about this AI feature being added. Argh. Add me to any legal effort to remove this thing.

    I am willingly investing my work time (and money) to write here to complain that, like the rest of users, I cannot remove this annoying, unwanted function that's being forced on PAYING COSTUMERS like slop fed to pigs.

    DISABLE COPILOT NOW. Nobody will ever use it or want it. Stop investing in this stupid AI bubble, it will burst in less than 3 years.

    I'm not wasting time uninstalling and reloading office just to turn ONE thing off. I do not want Copilot even as an option to turn on. NO ONE does.

    How do I get rid of this horrible, planet killing thing?
