How to disable copilot on microsoft office (excel, word, ppt) on Macbook

I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.

I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.

Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?

    Agree but I think it's more than that.
    I would like an assurance that the AI is fully disabled and isn't scrapping my work even when turned off as an assistant.
    The option should be there to install an AI free version.
    MS also should not have moved people to more expensive plans without their knowledge when they added Copilot.

    How about MS just provide a simple switch, as there appears to be plenty of people who do not want this kind of intervention in their workflow?

    Microsoft have, without our permission and without a removal tool installed spyware on our computers.

    By dictionary definition -

    Mac equivalent is 'Preferences' and there is no Copilot option in there.

    Cant do it in excel or one note.

    I don't just want it turned off, I want it GONE. Because even off I don't trust its nit scraping.
