I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.
I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.
Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?
Thank you!

I totally get it. This was such a major breach of customer trust that they will find it hard to recover. Based on how this was so poorly handled, I don't trust Microsoft as far as I can throw them. And I never will trust this company to do the right thing. EVER.
I have repeatedly selected "file," then "options." But there is no "Copilot" anywhere.
I don't want to disable it program by program because
I want this GONE as in an optional add in that people if they choose to feed the planet killing machine can do so, but the rest of us with a conscience and understanding of copyright law do not have to deal with it.
These instructions work for people using PCs. The instructions did not work for Mac users, until today - when Microsoft released a software patch. There is now a way to disable Copilot on at Mac - at least in Word. Like you, I checked PowerPoint and Excel and there does not appear to be a way to disable Copilot on Excel or PowerPoint. Let's hope the Microsoft programmers attack that problem next.
