How to disable copilot on microsoft office (excel, word, ppt) on Macbook

I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.

I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.

Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?

    This isn't just an issue of money.
    Microsoft have, without providing prior information or asking permission, added an AI to users machines.
    Many users have no way to turn it off and the only way to remove it seems to be to roll back a version or change your subscription to 'Classic'.
    Even where users can turn the AI off there is no information from Microsoft as to whether this disables just the helper or the entire AI - when turned off is it still 'learning' from your work (a cute euphemism for what is in reality Microsoft stealing your work...)
    This is, by every definition, a wilful insertion of spyware into the machines of paying users.
    I have written to my Federal Government about this and I suggest others do the same.

    Julius - If you're on a MAC, there is no Options button in the interface. If you're on a PC and that button isn't there, please consider checking your software level and see if you're running the latest version of the software. Good luck.

    Yo Hannah Z. from Microsoft - Your response is beyond TONE DEAF. We have been dealing with this ridiculous forcing of tech we don't want, coupled with raising our subscription fees without our knowledge or consent, and you still try to tell us Copilot is viable???? It has taken you people from Microsoft TEN days to respond to the outrage from your customers about this utterly flawed tech launch. I run a business. I've lost more than $4000 in billable time because of what Microsoft has done. I've had to pay HUNDREDS of dollars to my Mac tech to try to resolve this. I suggest that you get more serious, quit with the "happy talk," and deal with your customer's anger appropriately. This FIX that you've finally provided may or may not work - and it should have come TEN days ago. Your ridiculous response is the nail in the coffin when it comes to any regard I had for Microsoft. BAH.
