How to disable copilot on microsoft office (excel, word, ppt) on Macbook

I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.

I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.

Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?

Thank you!

THIS 'FIX' DOESN'T WORK. I WANT IT GONE TOO! I HAVE A PAID SUBSCRIPTION AND SHOULD NOT BE FORCED TO ENDURE A PRODUCT I DO NOT WANT. UPDATE THE FEATURE SO WE CAN TURN IT OFF!!!

    Hello Hannah.Z,

I am experiencing the same frustration as as other respondents to this post.

I wish to deactivate AI Copilot and the guidance provided in your post does not correspond with the information and selections available on my MS Account page.

The only reference to AI on this page (for my account) is an AI Credit Balance.

There is no option provided on my account page to deactivate the AI Copilot feature.

For your reference, my Microsoft 365 applications are all up to date as of today.

    Regards

I literally have spent the past 2 hours trying to get rid of this to no avail and the reply posted is wrong. Like others have said there's no option to disable it and from the sounds of things I don't think it properly even does it, rather just hides it.

I'm so so tired of this ai stuff that essentially does nothing. Frankly, it disgusts me that there is no option to get rid of it this late in development and at the time of release and its incredibly embarrassing and invasive. There's more I can say, but I also understand the moderator isn't directly responsible for this issue.

Regardless, the company needs to take responsibility for the issues this can cause in the long run, especially where plagiarism is concerned for serious matters like mentioned by others. This needs to be addressed immediately and revised because from the sounds of things its causing far more harm than good.

There is no "Copilot" entry on the right hand side. Only an offer to sign up to Copilot Pro. I want Copilot OFF MY COMPUTER COMPLETELY. (I have removed it from Windows 10, but it's still everywhere in Office 365.) Can you please advise?
