How to disable copilot on microsoft office (excel, word, ppt) on Macbook

I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.

I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.

Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?

Thank you!

Agreed. If Microsoft does not allow users to disable Copilot, then I will cancel my subscription and invest in a different office suite.

I cancelled the subscription switching to the "classic" plan with NO AI. However, I still cannot get rid of Copilot from my apps. "Customizing the ribbon" doesn't work.

Any tricks? This is personal use so I am not tied to it like I am at work.

There is no copilot option (windows 10) in File-Options anywhere for me. I had already checked 3 times before this, going through every single tab of option, but I looked for a 4th time based on both posts on this above. Isn't there. "Copilot" does not show anywhere.

I have not had any indication of an update downloaded. My last update was 7 November. There is a cumulative update pending since 14 January.

Of course, like my phone, I have no doubt that they continually create issues to get you to update. All about control.

I'm a teacher. I'm teaching a first-year college writing. My students have MS word accounts via our university & now the temptation to use this cancer is just there without them even having to seek it out? It's just hovering there CONSTANTLY? I thought we were doomed already. Now MSWord is just shoveling dirt on the grave.

And when you log into your MS account there isn't a Services & Subscription tab. It's just subscription. I don't have Copilot, I never demoed it & yet there it is.
