Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
I was also having an issue with this. I'm not a writer, but do I need to write up contracts and business stuff, so this is super frustrating. I was able to disable being able to USE Copilot, but I'm not sure if my solution disables everything it does. I'm not a programmer or even a big computer person, but this was my "solution".
- Open word > File > Options > General
- Under General click Privacy Settings
- Uncheck the boxes for Connected Experiences (be aware that the last box is an opt in box for "personalized offers" and such. I kept it unchecked also.
- Click ok
After doing all of this, the same prompt will still appear on the page. However, if you click the Copilot icon in the ribbon, a pop-up box appears saying that you have to enable the privacy settings again in order to use Copilot. I hope that helps someone even a little. :) I wasn't able to upload my screenshots, but I hope my instructions are clear enough.
If you want to completely disable the Copilot App, follow these instructions at this site:

I did this fairly easily. :)
