How to disable copilot on microsoft office (excel, word, ppt) on Macbook

I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.

I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.

Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?

    I found co-pilot to be very similar to mosquito at 1 am when your trying to sleep. But after some research I found what worked for me, I have an HP Desktop.

    1 open word

    2 go to files on the top left And a side bar should open.

    3 all the way down at the bottom there’s an “options” button, click on it.

    4 on the left side should be a side bar with an option “copilot” click on it and uncheck the copilot box.

    This has so far only worked on my newest computer.

    OK but when a company FORCES a product on its customers - and for many customers, it's a detriment to their work, then it's unacceptable - and a complete outrage. If you have to force something on customers, you've failed as a business.

    I agree with you. The way Microsoft has handled this forcible assault of Copilot on their customers was a huge mistake, and probably illegal. The more people who post how angry they are, and the more people who cancel their Microsoft subscriptions, the better the chance that Microsoft backs down and immediately creates a "disable" button for Copilot. And people are free to post what they want, whether someone else likes it or not.

    Agree with Esther - "your FIX DOES NOT WORK". There is no "services & subscription" tab!
