Please help me disable personal vault I didn't want it and I can't get rid of it.

I'm never going to update something I never wanted are you crazy just get rid of it.

go to settings in onedrive and unlink your pc, then log in again - be sure to use the same folder and it will be fix. just done it in my own pc

Why should we do all the work they installed Personal Vault without our permission they can remove it the same way.

Unfortunately your instructions are useless, it cant be disabled under Win 11 Pro 64 bit version 23H2 build 22631.3737 or Android 13, also OneDrive on Android 13 doesn't have a hamburger menu

The update accompanying Win 11 Pro build 22631.3737 did not mention anywhere that it would lock down your entire OneDrive folder, It made it sound like something totally optional you could set up separately. The only relevant setting under Onedrive settings is changing the period it locks after to 4 hours.

I have almost identical problem. My onedrive now has a red x on the 'Personal Vault' that i cannot get rid of. Personal Vault is a joke.

I managed to delete it several times, but it immediately comes back when i restarted onedrive. Very frustrating.

Have you had any answers to fix the fault??

Dear Microsoft Support, I am writing to request assistance with removing the Personal Vault feature from my OneDrive account. I have been a long-time Microsoft 365 customer and a dedicated user of OneDrive, and until now I have been quite satisfied with the service. However, since enabling Personal Vault less than 48 hours ago, it has caused me nothing but inconvenience and frustration. I’ve attempted to find a way to disable or remove the feature entirely, but there appears to be no clear or accessible method to do so. When locked it prompts me to unlock it stating theres a syncing error and when unlocked it prompts me to lock it. I understand that Personal Vault is designed for enhanced security, but in my case, it has proven to be more of a hindrance than a help. I kindly and sincerely implore you to assist me in removing or disabling this feature from my account, or to guide me through any possible workaround. I greatly appreciate your help and look forward to your response.
