Please help me disable personal vault I didn't want it and I can't get rid of it.

I want Onedrive I don't want or need Personal Vault.

To quote a line from the musical "1776"

"Is anybody there, does anybody care?"

Microsoft seems to have abandoned this thread when they realized they have no solution that works for everybody.

Microsoft is full of irritating features that they think everybody wants. The idiotic favourites folders which come back as the proverbial bad penny once you have deleted, folders like videos, photos and music, all labelled "system folder" are a few of them. The vault too. They can afford to do what they want because of sheer muscle power. I just despair.

Not good We or at least I don't want to alter OneDrive except for getting rid of Personal Vault which is about as useful as an ingrowing toenail or Co-Pilot which is another thing Microsoft should get rid off. Asking Co-Pilot anything is like getting blood out of a stone..

The best thing I have been able to do is unlink my computer from onedrive. I can leave it that way or partially install onedrive up to the point of installing the personal vault - just leave it hanging. That is how I have it now, I am waiting to see how that works and if it causes me any problems.

This solution is working for me since August 24, I have OneDrive with no continuous threats to not sync.
