Please help me disable personal vault I didn't want it and I can't get rid of it.

Unfortunately your instructions are useless, it cant be disabled under Win 11 Pro 64 bit version 23H2 build 22631.3737 or Android 13, also OneDrive on Android 13 doesn't have a hamburger menu

The update accompanying Win 11 Pro build 22631.3737 did not mention anywhere that it would lock down your entire OneDrive folder, It made it sound like something totally optional you could set up separately. The only relevant setting under Onedrive settings is changing the period it locks after to 4 hours.

I have almost identical problem. My onedrive now has a red x on the 'Personal Vault' that i cannot get rid of. Personal Vault is a joke.

I managed to delete it several times, but it immediately comes back when i restarted onedrive. Very frustrating.

Have you had any answers to fix the fault??

go to settings in onedrive and unlink your pc, then log in again - be sure to use the same folder and it will be fix. just done it in my own pc

Still nothing from M$............

I pay to get extra storage on OneDrive, and still don't have the option to get rid of this feature that I don't use and that through design interrupts file syncing on a daily basis. Having to mess about with restores is not really an option when the whole point of my using One drive is to sync my work so that I can access it on any of my workstations from anywhere, mobile or desk, tablet or PC. On my Apple devices It's nowhere to be seen so, why not have the option to turn it off on M$ products again.

Come on Microsoft, give us back the option to turn it off.

My OneDrive is fine I don't need to restore it. I just want to get rid of Personal Vault. I never asked for it so its down to Microsoft to give us the ability to permanently disable and get rid rid of it.

I was facing with the same problem and I think I was able to find a solution.

While I was not able to find any way to disable or delete the Personal Vault, I manage to find a workaround.

What I did is to go in the https://onedrive.live.com/?v=managestorage link and on the left hand side you have the option to "Restore your OneDrive". You can select a custom date when you know the sync issue started. This option will NOT undo the creation/activation of the Personal Vault, but it will undo some files uploads which for some reason got stuck while syncing.

For me it worked to fix the syncing problem and to be sure that Personal Vault will not create any future disruptions, I have (re)moved all data from Personal Vault and never use it again.

I hope this will help some of you in fixing this issue.
