Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
I also stated in Prious 04's topic that I do not want to enable this optional privacy setting because I do not want any MS Office documents or emails syncing with OneDrive (the image below shows OneDrive appears as a connected service when File | Office Account | Privacy Settings | Manage Settings | Connected Experiences | Turn On All Connected Experiences is ENABLED), so this workaround is not a viable solution for me.
Just for your information, that OneDrive notice also appears on all three of my machines, two of which have OneDrive disabled and the third which does not have it installed. Even on the few occasions that I have actually activated OneDrive, I disabled file syncing in its settings and I've never had anything transfer to it that I have not done manually (and even then, it doesn't sync when the file is changed). So you might be a little overcautious on this issue, though you do have to set things up properly.
No criticism, just offering it for the information. With Microsnot,, you are quite right to be a bit paranoid.
