Probably the dumbest thing Microsoft has ever suggested; 'roll back to an earlier build that has security vulnerabilities'. Jeez!

Version 2407 16.0.17830.20166 is available on the release channel, but the known error message is still present (at least for me (using Microsoft 365)).

    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17830.20166

I ran the same update and there was no fix for me either.

Note that this version is not yet listed on the Microsoft versions page. (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/update-history-office-2019)

Ditto. Updated but still get the same error on two machines.

I'm running MS Office LTSC Pro Plus 2024 Preview and my version is Build 2407 - Version 16.0.17830.20056.

When I try to manually update to 20166, I get Error 30183-27 (400). Maybe because it's not yet officially available on the update site??
