Nothing suggested works. This has gone on long enough. MS needs to fix this NOW. We paid good $ for this product/service.

Unfortunately, Dominic's suggestion to run the Online Repair tool did not repair the issue. Subsequent to the July 2024 Office 2021 update (BUILD 2406), Office 2021 stopped taking updates and would not download the August 2-24 update and displayed Error Code 30088-27. My network connection is good and works for all other internet traffic. My Office 2021 Plus subscription in listed on my MS account. MS needs to acknowledge and address this problem as as MANY users are reporting it.
Here is a screenshot:
Online Repair didn't work for me either. Offcie 2021.
MS just can't get their act together. The silence is deafening. :\
Rolling back to the previous version DOES NOT WORK... Online repair DOES NOT WORK... turning on all connected experiences DOES NOT WORK Sadly, Microsoft wont just roll back whatever privacy invasion code they installed... wont roll back whatever AI code they inserted that no one asked for... wont just remove whatever non essential thing they put in that messed up a software function that has worked for decades and instead want everyone to jump through hoops to reinstall their software and go thru the aggravation of reactivating with no guarantee that will work either. Yes, but we should just blindly allow Microsoft to control when and how our computers update and we should allow Microsoft to blindly control all our data in the cloud (even though that just mean one stop shopping for hackers). Yes Microsoft please control my life because you know so much better than us. Wow I miss Windows 3.1
This is a real problem because MS appears to be assuming their standard suggestions should work for everyone and WE ALL KNOW that's NOT the case.
MS needs to move on from that mindset and delve deeper into this anomaly. Their one-size-fits-all solutions are not working for everyone.
EDIT: I'm going to add that if MS wants my log files, I would be more than happy to send them to an MS tech for examination. I know there has to be some sort of clue in there as to the source of this issue. At least, I can see where the error is reported in those files.
