    Office Updates were enabled for one important thing.

    Quick repair only fixes up corrupted files.

    Office Updates were enabled for one important thing.

    Quick repair only fixes up corrupted files.

    That's why I'm updating my affected machine with Online Repair.

    The following workaround, posted earlier in this thread, should work for everyone having this issue with Microsoft 365.

    1. Disable Microsoft Office Updates (File/Account/Update Options and select the Disable Updates option)
    2. Open an administrative command prompt and then enter the following command:
      "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17726.20160

    NOITE: replace the version number with the current version number.

    My question is why, when it updates using the Online Repair.
