All three are Dells, (a G7-7700, Insprion 5482 and XPS 8930). All are running Windows 11 Pro and all are running Office Home and Business 2019.

I am running Office 365 on two Dells (XPS) with Windows 10 Pro installed. My Office version is 2406 (Build 17726.20160 - I upgraded that manually from the previous build); same issue on both machines with both builds.

On which machine are you experiencing the issue? Also, are you running Version 2406 Build 17726.20160?

The XPS is having the issue. It is the desktop version and the other two machines are both laptops. All are running the current build (17726.20160). The two laptops updated normally and the XPS was updated through an Online Repair as it continued (and continues) to display the error when a normal update is attempted.

That does indeed narrow it down quite a bit. I doubt this is the issue but can't help but wonder if the issue has something to do with wireless. I'm assuming you updated your laptops using wireless and your XPS is connected with an ethernet cable (I could be way wrong of course).

    Not really I guess.

I'm running MS 365 with the current build (17726.20160) on two different machines. Both wired (no wireless connections) and both with the same OS (Windows 11 Pro 24H2). On one machine, the update works fine and without any problems at all (as it should be), on the other one I get the error message.

    The whole situation really sucks!

Yes, you could be wrong. Except when I travel, the laptops are connected with ethernet just like the XPS, all running on the same gigabit network with a 600 mps feed from the ISP. All running the same VPN (when activated), and the same anti-malware software. In fact, except for the machine specific drivers and software, they are pretty much clones of one another except that my wife has the user profile on one laptop and I have it on the other.

It's definitely a strangely executing error.
