It's not just 365. I'm running Office Home and Business 2019 Retail on two machines and Office Home and Business 2019 installed from my Microsoft Account on a third one. I am only have this problem on one of the Retail installations. The others work fine. I tried the reversion to the previous version which didn't work and I tried the DNS trick which didn't work. I have done Online Repairs and uninstalling and reinstalling Office and even doing a Repair Reinstall of Windows 11 Pro. Nothing seems to solve the problem on the one machine.
I am working with someone on another thread who has given me several suggestions, but the problem persists.
I don't know if it's Microsoft or just my machine, but it appears that this is not an isolated problem.
Is there anyone from Microsoft following this thread?
I am actively working (to be nice) with a O365 support member as the issue is happening to SUBSCRIBERS of Office via 365 tenants.
They are still convinced this is a NETWORK related issue.
Time for someone to think out-of-the-box, if anyone remembers how to do that ...
Exactly, it happened after the update to version 2406 (17726.20126). And also I have tried fixing the whole office suite without any luck.
Not sure if it can normally update to the newer version after Microsoft provides any fix.
Not only they must provide a FIX, they MUST provide an alternate way to update Office in the meantime as we all know what happens when Office gets stupid.
I have multiple PCs in the customer's LAN, not all present the issue. Remote notebooks are also presenting the same issue, so, please, do not mention DNS any more.
